Bye Bye Blogger - WE'VE MOOOVED!
Hello Get
Fit Followers – I am writing this post to let you know that we have moved to
Wordpress. Due to the move, the readers that are following with Google Connect
will no longer get the posts automatically; therefore I am also asking for a
HUGE favor! Can you please go to Get-Fit-Naturally
and re-follow using email or Networked blogs (at bottom of page)? In order to
continue doing giveaways from awesome sponsors I need to keep my reader numbers
up – and to do that I need you to re-follow at the new link. I would appreciate
it very much! Thank you in advance! ~Lori

What the hell am i doing?
One of my fellow bloggers has issued a challenge to do a video every day in the month of August. Now, while I know I will not be able to do a video every day, this challenge may push me past my comfort zone to do something different. For those who do not know me, I am a little camera shy – so videos are friggen terrifying! Here is my first video, short and sweet - an introduction to my blog.
Tell me, do you watch fitness and health videos on YouTube?

Foodie Pen Pal Reveal!
Lindsay,
over at The Lean Green Bean, holds a Foodie Pen Pal swap every month and I was
excited to give it a try. I see you scratching your head – what is a Foodie PenPal Swap you ask? You are given a name (and someone is given your name) in which
to send a food package which can include fun-foodie things, local food items or
even homemade treats! The swap is open to both bloggers and readers.
I received
my package from a blog reader in Rochester, NY. I thought this was really cool
since I have been to Rochester to visit friends, and have actually been in
Wegman’s, a well-known local grocery store in which some of my products came
from.
She sent me
Salt potatoes - along with the recipe, Maple Syrup from New York, Bar-b-que
sauce made locally, and a Kind bar.
I received
my package just as I was going out of town so I haven’t had a chance to try the
salt potatoes – but they sound delish. And can you believe I have never tried
the Kind nut bar – so I opened it almost immediately. This bar is friggen
fabulous! It only has 4 grams of sugar and protein from the nuts. The bar is a
little high in fat – but it comes from the nuts – so I stashed half of it away
to keep from eating it all in one sitting – it was that good!
The Foodie
Pen Pal swap was a very fun thing to try and I would encourage you to
participate at least once – especially if you love surprises – which I do!

Meet Kyra - The Get In Shape Girl
As a
fitness enthusiast I am always surfing the internet for workouts, recipes and
inspiration. I run across tons of ebooks and if I bought every single one I
wanted to – I’d be a very BROKE woman. I have been a follower of the Get In Shape Girl on facebook
for so long I can’t remember when I first found her. I loved her stuff so I
also subscribed to her weekly emails and free workouts. Can you imagine my
surprise and delight when I received her email offering me the chance to review
her ebooks? Needless to say, there was a small squeal of delight!
If you
aren’t familiar with the Get In Shape Girl, let me introduce you to her, she is
none other than bikini model Kyra Williams. She is also a personal trainer and author. Kyra may be a bikini model, but
she is also someone who knows what it’s like to need to lose weight and become healthier. Read about her journey on her website The Get In Shape Girl.
Her first ebook, 12 Week Bikini Guide, is a workout
plan that is sure to blast fat. Workouts are broken down into circuits, followed by
cardio. The program is broken down into 4 week segments, with small changes
each week to keep your body from getting used to the routine. For a free
preview, click here. I love the workout plan - you will definitely see results!
Her second ebook, The Bikini Competitor's Cookbook, is filled with delicious meals and snacks; you are sure to forget
that they are actually good for you!
