Stuck at your desk?

Studies show that sitting at a desk all day doesn't only lead to weight gain, it can cause circulation problems in your legs and cause a higher risk for clots. Every hour get up from you desk and do a few simple exercises to get your blood flowing. Walk down the hall a couple of times, run the stairs, walk around the building. If you don't feel you have time to leave your office, then try these simple suggestions.

Do squats, pushups leaning on your desk, rear leg raises, lunges, dips on your chair, or bicep curls or shoulder presses using books.

Do 10 of each in a circuit fashion for 5 min.

Getting the heart pumping and the blood flowing will help you to feel more energized and able to focus better.
