I am a Certified Personal Trainer working on obtaining my BS in Nutrition. I enjoy helping people learn how to become healthier through eating and, that oh-so-dreaded word, exercise. Exercise does not have to be a chore, and a little is better than nothing at all.
I have been an enthusiastic gym rat for years. But a few years ago, i decided i wanted to take my workouts up a notch and started working with some figure competitors. At that time, i ate relatively healthy - or so i thought. These girls proved to me that i could eat healthier. As i began to learn how to read food labels and how foods affected the body, i realized how little most of us really understood the concept of proper nutrition. I became so engrossed with learning how nutrition played such a huge role in disease prevention, that i decided to go back to school to obtain my BS. My ultimate goal, however, is to become a Registered Dietitan.
By learning about the importance of proper nutrition and physical exercise, you can change your health and your life. It doesn't take big dramatic changes. Just by making small changes, and being consistent, your body will begin to respond and you will feel better and see changes.
