HELP...I ate too much...now what!

It’s Monday morning and your body feels horrible because you overindulged this past weekend. You ate and drank too much and exercised too little. Whatever the reason, whether it was the result of the end to a stressful week, or a celebration party, sometimes, it just happens. But what do you do now?

First, forgive yourself. It happened, but today is a new day and you can get right back on track.
Second, DO NOT get on the scales. You will be holding a lot of water and will not get an accurate reading. The only thing you will get is more depressed.
Third, start your day with a good, healthy breakfast. When I say healthy, I do not mean big! Have a ¼ c. of oatmeal with cinnamon and berries, and a 2 egg white omelet.
Fourth, stay away from fast foods, convenience foods, and anything with a lot of sodium. This will only make you feel worse. Have an apple w/1 tsp of Peanut Butter for a snack and Grilled Chicken Salad w/light vinaigrette dressing for lunch. Skip the starchy carb at dinner.
Fifth, make sure to get in some exercise for the next couple of days.

Within a couple of days you should feel like you new self again! And remember this tip, after you have been eating clean whole foods for a while, junk food feels even worse on your body.

Feel well and have a good week!
