It’s the weekend and time to unwind from the pressures of the work week. Many people use the weekends to also relax their diets and have a treat meal. This gives them something to look forward to during the week, when eating healthy can sometimes be challenging. By making healthy choices 90% of the time, you have room for indulgences on occasion. The weekends are perfect for those indulgences – as long as the treat meal does not turn into a whole day, or worse, the whole weekend! If you overindulge on the weekends, you can actually gain 1-3 pounds. Also, by feeding your body excess sugar, sodium and fats from foods you do not normally eat, you are causing the brain center to get a high that it is going to want to continue, and on Monday, it will be even harder to make those healthy choices. So remember, keep it to a treat, and your body will thank you.

Great tips on adding something different to the usual treadmill routine. The great thing about exercise is you can be creative!
