Working Out with Nicole Wilkins

I am always looking for new ways to challenge my body with my workouts, so I subscribe to several fitness magazines; FitnessRx for Women, Oxygen Mag, and Muscle and Fitness Hers, are my favorites.
This month in the FitnessRx magazine, competitor Nicole Wilkin’s contributed a full body workout.  Per her description, this workout will help “build muscle, perfect your body shape, and challenge you muscles in new ways.”

She also made this statement, and I just love it, “Remember that you were only given one body, and it’s your job to take care of it – no one else’s.

Perform 3 sets of 12-15 Reps for each exercise. This is not a circuit and there are no superset. Complete all sets of an exercise before moving to the next one.

Bench Step-Ups with Barbell or Dumbbells
Incline Push-Ups with Feet on Bench
Reverse-grip Seated Cable Rows  (you can use wide grip or narrow grip)
Hanging Leg Raises
Reverse Hyperextensions  (a lot of gyms do not have the hyperextension machine, so I found a demo using a stability ball)

And for those who do not have a gym – here is a workout you can do at home.

Thanks for sharing the workout. I will have to try it out on a cross training day. I loved Nicole's quote too- so true!

Nicole Wilkins is quite the inspiration! I had to look up a couple of the exercises (spider curls). Funny how we use different names to describe the same things!
I shall pin your workout to come back to when I need some inspiration! Thanks!

This sounds like a great work out - I love it when fitness magazines gives things that you can use :)
