Lovin' my Yurbuds - Review and Giveaway

I don’t know about you, but I have had a horrible time trying to find earphones that stay put while I’m working out. I have tried them all – from the kind that wrap around the ear to the ones that offer different size attachments. None seem to work; they were always falling out every few minutes. Talk about annoying! (Maybe I have funky ears?) Anyway, I finally gave up. Then April from Yurbuds sent me a pair of their earphones from the Ironman Series Sport Design - Inspire Talk; I am totally in love with these!

These earphones were comfortable, easy to wear and the sound was great. But best of all – they stayed in place through my entire workout – including my treadmill run. I did not have to readjust them at any time. And it gets even better, they aren’t that expensive – the prices range from $29.00 - $59.00.

I provided a demo video below to show you that they stay in place. It is my first video and definitely has room for improvement – I need to work on the sound for sure. So bear with me as I learn, but this video gets the point across.

Here is a professional Yurbud video demonstration for proper placement.

Like you mentioned, I have tried every freaking set of ear phones on the market and NONE of them stay in my ears. It is so annoying when I want to run with music or spin to some tunes and I can't because my freakishly small ears get all sweaty and my darn ear phones fall out. So ANNOYING!!!!! I gave up trying to listen to music when running because I use more energy constantly pushing my ear phones back in place. I would LOVE to try out Yurbuds!!!!!

I have never seen these cool buds! Especially ones that would actually stay in your ears. I'm looking into these buds on the website. I follow your blog but don't do FB or Tweet.

OMG! I need these! I have the same problem, they ALWAYS fall out of my ears! I hope I win! :)

I was out blog hopping tonight and found you. A pair of earbuds that would stay in and not pinch my ears (like the ones that go behind the ears) would be awesome.
I walk/jog, do some fish flopping (floor exercises) and love to do it all to music but that pinching or falling out just totally bites.
Thanks for a great review.
Blessings!

I was just talking this morning about really wanting a pair of Yurbuds. Wanting....NEEDING. I have the hardest time with headphones staying in during runs and I can't go without music during marathon training!

I've had horrible luck with earbuds (and regular headphones). I don't know if I have small ears or what, but nothing ever seems to stay in place. I can't even tell you how many times during a race - whether it's a 1/2 or a 5k - that I have to adjust my earphones because they're slipping out. I've probably gone through about 5 pairs in the last 2 years, and nothing works :(

Your first video worked out great. And the earbuds look fabulous!

I'd love to try these. I am a runner and actually stopped using music because the earphones I own constantly fell out of my ear canal. It became no longer worth the frustration to continuously put them back in that I just stopped. Thanks for the opportunity to win a these, I would love to listen to music again.

Ugh, I always have trouble finding earphones that stay in! I don't see how some people never have a problem with it. I'm always willing to try new kinds to see if they were made for my ears ;)

I actually bought a pair of these earphones at the expo before my 1/2 marathon, but then my bag that had all my goodies from the expo, including my race bib and t-shirt was stolen so I never got to use the earphones.

It is a struggle finding earbuds that stay in, these sound great and have rave reviews. I like the reviews, they tell me a lot. My husband has teased me about the various styles of ear buds I have.

These have great reviews and look comfy, hard to find good ear buds.

Where to begin with headphones/earbuds?

I will save you the torture of going too far back and start our story with iPod video. The earbuds from Apple, when they fit and stay in, hurt my ears. So I bought some Sony ones. They would always fall out and the sound was tinny.

So I tried a more expensive pair. Nope.

Finally, a few years ago I got some nice Bose earbuds for XMas. Those things were beautiful. Until they died about 1.5years ago.

I tried some SkullCandy after a recommendation and I liked those, until they broke after 2 months. Saw them on sale again, and they broke after 2 weeks.

Bought a cheapo pair from a gas station which are ok in an emergency, but the sound quality is horrible.

Right now I am rocking some random paid I picked up at target for $20.

I am just so sick of trying to find decent earbuds. I don't want to pay $100+ for the new Bose ones. Help a guy out!

I don't have so much trouble with the headphones falling out but I do have issues with them hurting my ears after wearing for any amount of time. It would be nice to have a pair that fit comfortably during a workout.

I think your ears are perfectly normal so don't sweat it. Earbuds falling out seems to be a theme with the other commentators. I have to say that, while the simple earbuds tend to stay in my ears just fine, the sound gets pointed in strange directions and as I run the volume varies widely. I would love a pair that stays put and these look great.

After a 14.5 mile run in the rain with regular ear buds I'm done. Trying to wipe my ears and buds while running wasn't enjoyable. I always have trouble after I'm sweaty but yesterday drove me crazy. Training for a marathon and having buds that don't stay in is very distracting and annoying. I am in a search to find ones that don't fall out.

I need a good pair of earphones - mine are always falling out. Like you, I thought I just had funny ears that couldn't hold earphones. I really really need these! :)

Unknown said...

I could really use these earbuds because the ones I have never, ever stay in and it is so frustrating!!

My problem is keeping my ear buds in my ears at the gym. They always seem to fall out. Would most certainly love to try these, they look great!

My earphones never feel right and often fall right out. These look like they might be just the thing!

Absolutely love my Yurbuds. Why? Because I used to fiddle around with every and any headphones I tried to run with. Now, I just run. Sadly this morning I noticed I lost one of my enhancers. I guess I misplaced it while traveling :[

When I was 25 I was climbing the rocks of Mount Kanchenjunga and using my generic earbuds to listen to the inspirational music of Yani while searching for the elusive unicorn species of the horse. After 20 hours of hiking and music, I neared a unicorn. I wanted to take a picture of the mythical creature, but as I reached for my camera, my generic earbuds became loose and were knocked out of my ears. Why would the equestrian gods pass such terrible luck on to my quest? Sure enough the unicorn ran away as I awkwardly put my generic earbuds back into my music holes. I'll never forgive myself or those generic earbuds for the missed opportunity of getting a picture of a unicorn. Now you know about my past earphone experiences, so I ask you to bless me with a new pair of Yurbuds on my quest to find a unicorn :)

I've ruined more earbuds in the gym thanks to sweat. I've heard these are very durable.

I have been trying to find the perfect pair of running headphones for a while - I think my husband thinks I'm a little insane with all the pairs I have ordered. Training for my 3rd marathon - these would come in handy!!!!

Offal Drosski said...

Those look awesome! I can't wait to take them for a spin on my bike (indoors of course!).

I could not imagine having any other headphones besides Yurbuds.

Last year I ran my first half marathon. The night before my husband talked me into going to the store to buy a pair of these. The race was in St. Louis, which is where they are based, so I was hoping I could easily find them. Well I did find them...I used the pair for my race...LOVED THEM. And then my husband stole them from me!! So a few weeks of moping around, he got me a pair of pink ones and I absolutely love them. Running and working out is lame without them. I would love to have another pair so I always have them on me.

Thank you Yurbuds for creating such a superior product!

I don't have a lot of problems with earbuds but my husband does - he has so many pairs and really has never been happy with any. got to get him some of these after seeing this, thanks

I just got a new pair of earbuds to run with and got the wrap around design which is good for staying in place but CLEARLY the inside of one of my ears is a mutant and the earbud doesn't fit and actually hurts so I DEFINITELY need a new pair but I'm not sure where to go from here- PLEASE help my mutant ear canal!

I can not keep a set of earbuds in my ears to save my life. Plus, the cheap ones have the cords that keep getting twisted and knotted, so I can't even use them after a while.

Not to sound desperate or anything but please pick me for the giveaway! It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to find ear buds that fit correctly, but by reading the many posts above I feel better that I am not alone! I too am one of those women with tiny ears and every pair I have tried haven’t fit or been too painful (and inevitably fall out). And who likes to workout in silence?... Nobody that’s who!

Angela Davidson said...

I've been fitted for a pair of yurbuds and would LOVE to own a pair. They certainly don't fall out, and would be perfect for running!

Tee_2_Run said...

I would imagine it would be nice to run and listen to music at the same time! I have never been able to do this because I can't seem to find ear buds that stay in my ears more than a few steps! I've tried about 6 different ones. So frustrating!!!

I have been working out to lose weight and get in better shape. I listen to music or sermons when I workout and run. The only frustrating thing for me is finding an earbud or earpiece that is comfortable or will stay put! I ran across the yurbuds and followed some conversation to your blog! Glad to hear that you love these and if you don't find it in your heart to send me a free pair I will have to break down and try them on my dime!

Thanks for the blog!
